Superior, WI – The Superior-Douglas County Chamber foundations Youth Leadership program met at the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College for their annual “Stuff The Bus” campaign Wednesday.

Students involved used the collected donations to buy 150 backpacks filled with various school supplies.

David Minor, the President of the Chamber, says that it’s all about experience for this group of seniors.

“These students know what goes in and our school community better than anybody. They know the need. Some of these students were the ones maybe in middle school who didn’t have a backpack, didn’t have all the supplies. For them to go to the middle school, give these backpacks out is a huge connection,” said Minor.

Minor went on to say that the leadership group spent the rest of the day planning future volunteer opportunities.
