Explore Superior first reported this story on November 12. In it Alicia Lee Hailey explained that she was hoping to raise enough money to purchase a $100 reflective crossing bib to use while assisting Superior school student in crossing at intersections. We thought it was a great idea then, but when we checked back, we were amazed and impressed by what she accomplished. A great example of doing good for your community. Read on for the “rest of the story.”

What started out as a small idea/offering from close friends and family to get me into high visibility bibs for my new Crossing Guard gig, has turned into something our Superior Community can be really proud of! After surpassing my goal of $100 within 1 hour of launching this page, I knew I had to keep going and try to raise enough money to get bibs for my fellow crossing guards! We have 11 throughout the City, so I raised the fundraising goal to $1100. (click HERE to see her posting on GoFundMe)
