This was posted on YouTube, Feb. 20, 2014*. Since it is somewhat chilly yet today, and the bay is still full of ice, it seems appropriate that we take a look back at the beauty of the ice caves of 2014. Near the town of Cornucopia, Wisconsin, the ice caves were a part of Lake Superior’s Apostle Islands National Lakeshore this past winter winter. As you watch these fellows walk around looking at the caves, keep in mind that what they are walking on is actually a frozen Lake Superior!

This was the first time since 2009 that we had a winter cold enough to create this phenomena. Personally, as beautiful as they were…I could wait a few more years before seeing this again! The photo at the top of the post is of myself and my wife from our visit to the ice caves.
