Open Enrollment: Feb. 6th thru April 28th
Students may apply to attend a school within the Superior School District even if it is not their “resident school district” but they must do so within the above time period and by following the procedures as laid out by the school district.
Additionally, should a parent wish to have their child attend an elementary school other than the one they have been assigned to, they can apply for transfer but must do so between Feb. 6th and 24th.
Here are the procedures to follow in either case:
Inter-District Open Enrollment
For students applying to attend a school district other than their resident school district
The open enrollment application period for the 2017-2018 school year is from February 6-April 28, 2017.
Alternative Applications will be available online after July 1, 2017, for anyone who misses this deadline. These will need to be filled out on paper form (download and print from the website below) and mailed to the school you are requesting your child to attend.
Parents must apply On-line at http://dpi.wi.gov/oe
Students who are currently open enrolled and are moving to the Middle School or High School must re-apply for open enrollment.
Transportation to and from the requested school district is the responsibility of parents.
Within-District Open Enrollment
For current residents of Superior applying for a change in elementary schools
Parents must submit an application form to the district administrative office between 7:30 AM on February 6, 2017 and 4:00 PM on February 24, 2017.
Early/Late applications will not be accepted for any reason.
A postmark does not meet this requirement. The time period may not be extended for any purpose.
