The Vision of Twin Ports Stage

1954

A Community Space With Many Benefits

By Lori Kempton

Providing public performance/meeting space means that a variety of activities can happen to benefit all Superiorites.

Not only can Twin Ports Stage create a season of shows to entertain, other area theatre companies can bring their shows to a new audience.

Our children’s performance classes can expand. UWS Continuing Education can present classes and seminars in unique ways. Musicians can showcase their talent. Area groups can hold meetings in the space. The list of possibilities is endless.

In terms of development dollars, this project is inexpensive and promises to be a catalyst for other downtown business. While we have a development agreement with the city, the money they will provide will not cover the entire cost of the project.

It’s really up to us – all of us! If you truly believe that Superior can become a city that shines at the head of the lakes, then join us.

Share our story, donate, do a fundraiser, contact business owners you know, do whatever you can to help make this project a reality. Superior is only superior if we all work together to create a city we can all be proud of.
