Dickenson Overwhelms Competition

Dickenson covered the course in 17 minutes, 48.7 seconds. Ironwood’s Nick Niemi finished second in 18:38.6.

As a team, the Eagles finished with 28 points, well ahead of Butternut’s 62 points.

Also for the Eagle boys, Aaron Pfister finished in fourth place; Alex Hunter and Nolan Burchfield were sixth and seventh, respectively; and Christian Sellwood was 10th.

The Eagle girls finished second with 40 points. Hurley was first with 20 points and Mercer was third with 69 points.

Signe Buerger of Hurley won the girls race in 22:05.9. Solon Springs’ top runner was Allie Nordskog, who finished fifth in 25:08.5.

Solon Springs will run in the Northwestern Invitational at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 at the Norwood Golf Course.
