Tigers Improve to 5-0 Overall
The Tigers record is 2-0 in the HON. The Blackhawks fall to 4-1 and 2-1.
After a scoreless first period, Northwestern scored 28 straight points.
Twenty-one of those points came in the second quarter. Keegan Plasch ran in from 15 yards, Jake Brill threw a 52-yard TD pass to Brody Payton and Reagan Ruffi scored the first of his three touchdowns on a 34-yard run.
Ruffie and Jesse Buchli traded touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Ruffi scored from 2 and 7 yards out, while Buchli’s scores were both from 2 yards out.
Isaac Nichols was 5-for-5 on extra-point kicks.
Ruffi finished with 224 yards rushing on 33 carries. Trevor Janowicz added 66 yards and Plasch had 24.
Brill was 3-of-7 passing for 97 yards with Payton catching two of the passes for 84 yards. Jagar Still caught the third pass for 13 yards.
