Children's DayApril is Child Abuse Awareness Month. Come to “Celebrate Children Day” at the Douglas County Government Center on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 10am for declarations by District Attorney Dan Blank, Douglas County Board Chair Doug Finn, and Child Protection Supervisor Doreen Wehmas. Cathedral School kindergarten students will tell us why “hands are not for hitting.” One person will be awarded the annual “Friend of Children” award for their dedication to the well-being of Douglas County children. Stay for cake and refreshments!
