Superior High School Before Changes Begin

We captured this video mid-summer (note the sunshine and green grass…not to mention, no crowds of kids). This is a fun fly over and significant since the pending projects of the School District Referendum passed last April will cause the footprint of Superior High School to gradually change over the next year or so.
The tennis courts have already been taken out and are in the process of being rebuilt along with a new softball field. The “circle” will eventually be demolished and rebuilt as a new, multi-story structure that will be more efficient and effective from both an economic and education standpoint.
Explore Superior will take to the air from time to time to capture the changes as they take place in order to document how our only high school is changing and modernizing. By the time the school district is done, SHS won’t be a school of the 1960’s any more, but a school of the future.
