Eighth Graders Helping Fifth Graders

By Kasie Smith

A new mentor program has been established at Northern Lights Elementary School. Eighth grade students (Red 8) from Superior Middle School began working with their 5th grade buddies on Thursday, November 17.

This is a pilot program that has been rolled out at Northern Lights. On this day, the mentors worked in groups with their 5th grade teams to create towers constructed of tape and straws.
