SBID Offers July 4th Shuttle to Barker’s Island

Superior Business Improvement District Helps Celebration

The Superior Business Improvement District will sponsor a school bus shuttle on the Fourth of July from the Business Improvement District to the Fourth festivities taking place on Barkers Island.

The school bus shuttle will run in a continuous loop from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. The shuttle will make stops at the the Municipal Lot behind VIP on Banks Avenue (the new Farmer’s Market Location) and the Belknap Plaza with a dropoff/pick-up at the entrance of Barker’s Island.

“The hope is to make parking and traffic easier for the citizens of Superior while also bringing business to our downtown and our businesses in the Belknap construction zone. We want to connect the District to Barker’s and vice versa” – Lindsey Jacobson, SBID Executive Director

About the Superior Business Improvement District:

The Superior BID was established in 1989. It encompasses 89 blocks, 322 tax parcels with over 300 businesses. It is the largest BID in geographic size in the state. More than 2,400 employees come into the BID on any given workday. The SBID represents property owners for the purpose of sustaining, promoting and enhancing a vibrant commercial business district.
