A study conducted for the Duluth Seaway Port Authority found Duluth’s industrial sector is an important component its economy. It further concluded it will be the catalyst that spurs equitable future growth across all other sectors to give Duluth a truly competitive advantage in attracting new companies and residents.

Superior police investigate Family Dollar robbery

Superior police detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Family Dollar store, 110 Belknap St. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of money after brandishing a black semi automatic handgun at the clerk, according to a release from Captain Thomas Champaigne.
