Welcome to Explore Superior. This is a community project initiated by Leadership of Superior/Douglas County, Class of 2013-2014.
Our mission in creating this website is to provide an interactive online resource for Superior and Douglas County residents, former residents, and visitors to find information, post current events, connect with local businesses and organizations, and build a greater sense of community. This project will no doubt be a work in process for some time to come, and your input along the way will be helpful and important to us. As we launch this blog, we’d like to acknowledge Perfect Duluth Day, a long running, highly successful community blog that has been operating on the other side of the bridge now for over a decade. We’ve used their blog as our inspiration in building Explore Superior. In the words of Charles Caleb Colton, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.” We hope our friends at PDD accept our thanks and forgive us our trespasses. We can only hope that Explore Superior has one tenth the impact on our community that PDD has had on Duluth.
