Inserting an image into your comment on Explore Superior is relatively easy, as long as the image is already uploaded to the Internet somewhere.

Keep in mind, however, that if the image you intend to use is on a website that doesn’t belong to you or isn’t Explore Superior, using it would be bad etiquette because the image is on someone else’s server, which means you are stealing bandwidth, and that is naughty. (In addition, you would probably be stealing someone else’s photo at the same time. So shame on you, and shame on you.)

If you have an image uploaded to Explore Superior or another site that you aren’t stealing from, all you have to do is insert the image URL into HTML code as illustrated below:

The image URL is the spot on the Web where the image itself is located. If you right click on an image on the Web, you should get an option to “Copy Image Location.” Once you’ve done that, you just paste it into the code as shown above.

So, what if the image you want to use doesn’t exist on Explore Superior’s server and you want to upload it so you can add it to a comment? Well, that’s more complicated.

First of all, if you don’t have a Explore Superior user account, you can’t do it.

Second, if your account has “author” status, meaning you’re not a longtime, trusted user who is allowed to upload images to posts and publish posts immediately, you can’t do it.

If you do, however, have “contributor” status, you could create a draft post in which you upload the image to Explore Superior’s server. Then you could use the image URL and code to insert the image into your comment. If you do that, please delete your draft post when the job is done in order to keep things tidy. You don’t leave draft posts all over your living room, do you?
