Northern Lights Elementary Family Event Scheduled

Northern Lights Elementary invites community to March 5th Diversity Event.

The Northern Lights Elementary (NLE) Diversity Team would like to invite you and your entire family to a special event. “Celebrate Diversity through Song and Dance” will feature grade levels showcasing a song and dance from some of the many cultures that are represented in our school population. In addition, the NLE music club will be singing “hello” in world languages. A Power Point will introduce folks to more of what each geographic area is all about.

All Northern Lights students are learning the grade level songs and all students are encouraged to participate in the evening celebration. The grade levels and their highlighted cultures are as follows:

2nd Trimester Music Club: “Hello to all the Children of the World”
Kindergarten: Korean
First grade: Ghanaian                                           When? Where?
Second grade: Anishinaabe                                 Date: Thursday, March 5
Third grade: Bangladeshi                                     Time: 6:00-7:00 PM
Fourth grade: Latino                                             Place: Northern Lights Gym, 1201 North 28th St.
