Parenting Classes Begin Next Month

The Family Resource Center is offering a FREE new series on parenting. Parenting 101 is a new series the FRC will be hosting starting January 31st. Each session will explore a different topic and feature a guest speaker from the community who specializes in that night’s topic. You are invited to join and may sign-up for all sessions, or only those classes that interest you.

Classes will be held from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the Family Resource Center, located in Northern Lights School, Room C115, at 1201 No. 28th Street in Superior. If you have any questions or would like to register, please call (715) 395-5657.

Parenting 101 Schedule of Classes

Autism – Tuesday, January 31th

What tools are available to help me and my child? What can my child’s school offer in terms of support and learning for my child?

Birth to 3 – Tuesday, February 28th

What is the Birth to 3 Program? Does my child qualify for services? Is my child meeting their milestones?

ADD/ADHD – Tuesday, March 28th

Does my child have ADD? What tools are available to help me and my child? How will this diagnosis affect my chjild at school?

Food & Mood, Tuesday, April 24th

How does the food I feed my children affect their behavior and mood? How do I teach my child healthy eating habits?

IEP’s & 504’s – Tuesday, May 16th

What are they? What is the difference? How do I make sure my child’s specific needs are being met?
