Vintage Cars to Tour Superior This Weekend

Members from the Twin Cities Regional Group of the Horseless Carriage Club of America will be in the area with their vintage automobiles for the Creepy Crawly tour. The club is for vehicles up to 1915, but on this tour is open to vehicles up to 1927.

On Friday, the group will be touring the Fairlawn Museum, the Richard I. Bong Veteran’s Historical Center, the Superior Public Library murals, and the Douglas County Historical Society before cruising through Superior’s Municipal Forest and stopping for dinner in South Superior.

On Saturday, the group will be heading out East 2nd St. on their way to tour the Davidson Windmill and Eskolin House. From there, the will take the back roads through Lakeside and Maple before stopping at Oulu Glass. They will go through Iron River, Brule and Lake Nebagamon before returning to Superior that evening.

On Sunday, the group will be heading to Duluth to ride on the Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad located in West Duluth. After that, they will head out to Gary New Duluth and Fond du Lac for lunch. They will wrap up the tour by returning to Superior by crossing the Oliver Bridge and going through Oliver and South Superior before coming back to downtown Superior.
