Newly Constructed Billings Park Pavilion

The City of Superior has announced that Billings Park will reopen to the public on Saturday, July 18th.  First Point (the main part of the park) has been under construction since mid-May.

Park users can expect a brand new road, new pathways, and new “period style” lighting on First Point.  At the shore level, the walking trail and Roosevelt era retaining walls have been repaired.

Billings Park is the City’s largest formal park and offers both active and passive use areas.  A Victorian style pavilion, new restroom and new play equipment have been added in recent years.

A Superior/Douglas County Leadership group is planning to add a Children’s Memorial Garden later this season.  The garden will be a place for families who have lost a child to reflect and rejuvenate.

For park reservations, please call 715-395-7270.
