Driving on Tower you may have seen a Ferris Wheel or heard the music. The Head of the Lakes Fair was in Superior this weekend, bringing rides, food, games, and much more.
The Sizzler, as pictured below, would thrust you around at high speeds like a slingshot, stopping you just short of the gate. You could have paid three $1 tickets to ride the Sizzler, or gotten a $20 wristband for unlimited rides across the park.
Over the weekend many gathered to enjoy the rides and enjoy the end of summer vacation.
Some of the rides were simple like the Fun Slide, located in the middle of the park. There were rides just children, too.
Such as the classic merry-go-round.
The Pulse was one of the more intense rides.
The Super-Shot brought its riders up high enough to see all of Superior, and then down again in seconds.
Zero Gravity spun the riders around and up, making them feel almost like they were flying.
The Ring of Fire went in a 360 degree circle, going upside down. After doing that several times in both directions, it stopped upside down at the very top for several blood-rushing seconds.
The Air Max is the first ride you see when entering the fairgrounds and perhaps the most intense ride of all. It spins you and tosses you back and forth like a pendulum.
Whatever your favorite ride, the Head of the Lakes Fair had something for everyone. The food was terrific too. Corn dogs, fried dough, cotton candy, camel apples; everything you come to the fair for, this one had.
