Here in Superior, at the northwestern corner of Wisconsin, we get most of our news from the various media outlets emanating from Duluth…so it should be no surprise that hear lots about Minnesota politics, and little about government and political campaigns in Superior and Douglas County.
This week, Explore Superior will try to rectify that problem by focusing on a different campaign each day. Today we are displaying the official sample ballot for Superior (see below), and we will work our way through it from top to bottom over the next week or so until we’ve shared some information with you about each candidates. We will address each candidate in the order that they are listed on the ballot.
This is not meant to be deep in political analysis, and we will not advocate or recommend how you vote…that is your business, not ours. Instead, we will simply try to provide some information that you may not have seen. Our sources will be information that we find on candidate websites, and other media sources (as always, we will credit those sources.)
As stated in our website policies, we will not permit our Contributors to dive into partisan politics, and post negative or hateful comments on our pages. You may post your support of a candidate or a policy, provided that you write a clear and positive case for your point of view. Also, you must use the Opinion category. Violations of this policy will result in your post being deleted.
