LSE 30th Anniversary Celebration

Elementary School 30 Years Old

By Mark Howard

Lake Superior Elementary (LSE) students, families, staff, and local community are getting set to celebrate 30 years of social, emotional, and academic support for our children. Allouez, Itasca, and South Range area families have enjoyed learning and growing at this rural, friendly, community school.

The LSE community is proud of our school and families and would like to invite past and present families that have learned or worked at Lake Superior Elementary to celebrate our work within the local community.

The celebration will provide many opportunities for you to view the artifacts that have been locked in a “time capsule” behind a cornerstone at our entrance inscribed “1985.” The cornerstone and time capsule have been in place since the construction of our school – 30 years ago.

In addition, we would like to invite you to add to the artifacts that mark years of service as we return the time capsule to its place for future years of students and families to recognize and celebrate this wonderful school.
