The 24th annual Homegrown Music Festival is less than a month away. The 100-page Field Guide is off the presses and will be available at Duluth-area bars, restaurants and other businesses over the course of the next few days.

The Field Guide outlines the details of the eight-day festival, which runs May 1-8 and features roughly 195 bands performing at more than 40 venues. The schedule can also be found online at duluthhomegrown.org. The online schedule will continue to be updated should any changes occur in the final weeks leading up to the festival. At this time the only known change since the printed guide went to press is that the DTA Trolley will not be able to follow the route mapped on page 16 due to recently announced construction on Superior Street near the Essentia Health expansion. A revised route map will be published online once the new route is established.

Homegrown was held in 2020 and 2021 as a series of livestream concerts and prepackaged videos due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but returns to in-person performances this year.

The cover art on the 2022 Field Guide is by Emily Koch.
