National Bank of Commerce (NBC), the area’s largest, locally-owned, full-service bank, has further expanded its Commercial Lending Department by hiring Brian Milliken as a new Commercial Banker.

A Superior native and graduate of the University of Eau Claire, WI, Milliken has 10 years experience in the commercial banking industry. Milliken joins NBC from Bank Mutual where he held the role of Commercial Banking Loan Officer.

Now working from NBC’s Superior bank, he will be responsible for developing and servicing NBC’s growing commercial client base in Northern WI and Northern MN.

“Brian is a great fit for NBC, bringing expanding market knowledge and valuable experience.  It is extra special to have someone who grew up in Superior come back and re-invest their time and talent to help a local bank like NBC grow,” said Bruce Thompson, NBC President, WI Banks.

Brian’s prior civic involvement included several board of director positions such as Chippewa County Economic Development Corporation, Wisconsin Revolving Business Fund, and Boy Scouts of America, Chippewa Valley District. He looks forward to getting involved and supporting the Twin Ports communities.

National Bank of Commerce is headquartered in downtown Superior and also has banks in midtown Superior, Duluth, Hermantown, Poplar and Solon Springs. The bank’s web address is nbcbanking.com.
