Veterans Day program at 11 a.m. in Swenson Hall. UW-Superior graduate Colonel Ronald Wilson will be the guest speaker. At 1 p.m. taps and a special nationwide Moment of Silence ceremony will take place at the UW-Superior flagpole off Catlin Ave. to read the names of all Fallen Service Members from Wisconsin and Minnesota since 9/11 will be read. At 1:30 p.m. a dedication of the Excellence in Service Wall will be held outside the VNSC office at Old Main 118. All veterans, military members, students, faculty, staff and community members welcomed to attend these events. - 6 p.m. Academic Service Learning students at UW-Superior will be taking part in Pirate-themed event to hold demonstrations of basic psychological concepts for children at local elementary schools
UW-Superior students are preparing to run interactive stations that teach basic psychological concepts about the brain and memory through a pirate theme. Two events will be held: one at Lake Superior Elementary, and the other at Bryant Elementary. The events are only open to families with students who attend the elementary schools.

Enjoy a free run on the UW-Superior campus as runners are invited to strip down and donate excess clothing to Goodwill. Remember, it’s a Nearly Naked race – so keep bathing suit areas covered up! There will be a limited number of t-shirts available for purchase after the run.

University Theatre Fall production of Medea. 7:30 p.m.
University Theatre presents the fall UW-Superior student production of Medea, directed by Cathy A. Fank. Medea is a Greek tragedy written by Euripides in 431 B.C. It is probably the most well known of all Greek tragedies, telling the story of the jealousy and revenge of a woman betrayed by her husband. She is a wife and mother. When her husband abandons his family for a new life, she exacts and appalling revenge and destroys everything she holds dear.
Tickets: $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and non-UW-Superior students, and $2 for UW-Superior students. Group rates may be available. Tickets may be purchased at the Box Office in Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center. For information, call the University Box Office at 715-394-8380.

Wessman Arena Tailgate Party, 5-7 p.m. Wessman Arena, Gear up for the start of Yellowjacket Hockey at a Tailgate Party outside of Wessman Arena, sponsored by UW-Superior Foundation and BBQ Club. Enjoy a hotdog, chips, and a beverage before the game!
- Men’s Hockey Game, Game Time: 7 p.m. Wessman Arena,Cheer on your Yellowjackets when they face off with Hamline University.
- University Theatre Fall production of Medea, 7:30 pm.
- Late Night Skate, 9 p.m. Wessman Arena
