Welcome to our Four Corners Book Café!

By Lisa Gotelaere, Administrative Assistant, Four Corners Elementary

Once a month Molly Warring and Michelle Krob, our Librarian and Library Assistant, transform the Four Corners cafeteria into a quaint café.  The Four Corners Book Café invites parents and community members to join our 3rd grade classes in discussing recently read books.

The students are assigned a book to read and are excited to share their thoughts.  Discussion questions are provided to the volunteers and within the groups of 4 or 5 students, lively conversation begins!  The discussions promote deeper thinking and sharing of opinions.

Reading is the backbone of education and the Book Café is a fun and rewarding way to foster the love of reading.
