Paine & Fennessey Discuss Short-Term Issues

On March 15th Explore Superior hosted the first of two mayoral forums featuring the two candidates who made it through to the general election to become the next mayor of Superior. Video of this event appears below in this post.

The event took place at the Superior Public Library on March 15th at 6 pm, with the second forum scheduled this week on Thursday, March 23rd at the same time and location.

This election marks a turning point for our community, one in which the next generation is poised to take over leadership. Mayor Bruce Hagen is set to retire after a long and distinguished career of public service, and candidates Jim Paine and Brent Fennessey are both vying to serve out the remaining two years of Hagen’s term.

Regardless of who wins this election, I have a feeling these two men will have a hand in shaping Superior’s future for years to come.

This video runs for two hours, which is admittedly a long time to watch to anything, however we encourage you to take the time to watch it. Heck, stop the video from time to time and come back to it for more after you’ve recovered!

This video deals with short-term issues such as staffing, city services, and budgeting. A forum held on March 23rd dealt with long-term issues including development and Better City Superior and can be viewed by clicking HERE.
