UW-Superior’s online elementary education bachelor’s program recognized by AffordableColleges.com
The University of Wisconsin-Superior’s online elementary education bachelor’s program has been recognized by AffordableColleges.com.
“We are pleased to offer a recognized high quality, low cost teacher education program that provides online access to those who aspire to be elementary teachers,” said Interim Provost Jacalyn Weissenburger. “UW-Superior has been preparing outstanding teachers since our inception in 1893, and our online offerings demonstrate our commitment to innovation while providing access to those in our region and beyond.”
With more than 100 years of experience in training teachers, UW-Superior is the only institution of higher learning in the Twin Ports and the only campus in the UW System to receive this accolade. The Teacher Education Program offers an elementary education major that prepares students to obtain certification to teach either pre-kindergarten through sixth grade (PK-6) or first through eighth grade (1-8).
AffordableColleges.com noted that “UW-Superior was incepted as a teacher’s college, and the school continues to offer a strong education program. UW-Superior’s elementary education degree online is accredited by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and its licensing is recognized by several other states.”
AffordableColleges.com weighs criteria, such as loan default rates, graduation rates, and financial aid data, to draw a distinction between the programs that appear cheap up-front and those that will pay off in the long run.
