Committee Meeting

Citizen Appointments to Extension Program

1740

Ever thought of getting involved in the process of decision making in local government? Here’s your chance. The Douglas County Board is seeking interested volunteers to serve on a citizen’s committee. The committee has responsibility for support and monitoring of the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension programs and is the committee of jurisdiction of the Recycling/Solid Waste Department.

Matters relating to environment, agriculture, solid waste, and educating (as they pertain to the mission of the UW Cooperative Extension) are referred to this committee. Interested persons should send a letter of interest to County Board Chair Doug Finn at doug.finn@douglascountywi.org by Friday, December 12, 2014.

If you’re not interested, or don’t have the time, perhaps you can forward this post to someone you know who would be a suitable applicant. You know what they say, if you don’t participate on some level, you forfeit the right to complain after the fact!
