Twin Ports Stage Continues Fund Raising Efforts
By Doug Dalager
A group of local artists formed Twin Ports Stage in 2013, non-profit theater company dedicated to building a multi-use community arts space in Superior, Wisconsin. They believe this facility would be a wonderful addition to the arts scene in the Twin Ports in general and in Superior in particular.
They envision it as home to Twin Ports Stage, as well as a building to accommodate music, film, art shows, theater, youth classes, community and private events. Follow this LINK to go to their Fund Razr fundraising page. They also have a Facebook page used to promote their current shows.
Shown below is the mission of Twin Ports Stage as stated on their Facebook page.
Twin Ports Stage (TPS) is a professional, non-profit theater company incorporated by UW-Superior alumni and friends in 2013. We founded TPS to honor UW-Superior Professor Emeritus, John D. Munsell, who passed away in that year. John’s 35 years leading the Theater department inspired countless artists. He changed many lives for the better, and that is a tradition worth carrying on. His remarkable spirit will always inform our work.
We are dedicated to building a home for quality cultural offerings, and a space for local artists across disciplines to bring their work to the community. Not only will this much-needed arts facility provide that, it will bring activity and excitement back to a downtown that once thrived with businesses and entertainment.
This effort seeks to raise funds toward the purchase of a building in downtown Superior, Wisconsin.
At TPS, we believe we can make a real difference for our town. We hope you’ll help us.
Twin Ports Stage is currently producing a dinner theater show at the Clearwater Grille on the Northshore. Click on the poster below to see a commercial for this show.. To order tickets follow this LINK.
