Family Resource Center Sponsors Annual Event

We at the Family Resource Center are so pleased with the success of our annual community event, Mighty Machines.  This year’s Mighty Machines was bigger and better than ever!

Mighty Machines by Family Resource Center | Explore SuperiorOver five hundred people came out to see the big machines on display, and were thrilled at the chance to touch, explore, and climb on everything from fire trucks to big rigs. We had twenty-one participants this year, with a total of twenty-seven vehicles.

In addition, Enbridge and UWS 4H provided activity tables and interactive experiments for children and families to investigate and explore. We were very excited to welcome several new participants at this year’s event, such as Viant Crane, Kivi Brothers, Enbridge, and Lake City Towing.

Mighty Machines by Family Resource Center | Explore SuperiorMighty Machines provided an excellent opportunity for businesses and families to come together for a night of learning in a fun and safe environment. We were thrilled to have such generous and excited partners for this year’s event, and look forward to working with our community partners again at Mighty Machines 2016.

Fall classes are in full swing at the Family Resource Center. We are wrapping up our first session, and will begin new classes on October 5.  We are so thrilled to announce the extension of our program by offering classes in a new location this fall. Beginning October 5, families will have two locations to choose from when registering for classes.

We will be offering classes at our Northern Lights Elementary classroom as well as two afternoon classes at Lake Superior Elementary.  It is such a great opportunity to be able to reach more families in our Superior community, and we are looking for even more ways to extend the program in the upcoming months.

This fall, we will be exploring nature as the seasons change, celebrating the holiday season with our families, and so much more. We always welcome new families, and encourage you to contact us regarding class openings and upcoming classes.
