The University of Wisconsin-Superior is pleased to announce that the Certified in Transportation and Logistics Online Program was just approved by the Veteran’s Administration.  This means that individuals wishing to utilize their GI Bill funding to enroll in this certification program may use their Post 9-11 or Montgomery Bill benefits to pay for some or all of the costs of this program.   Successful completion of the program will meet the necessary requirements for earning the Certified in Transportation and Logistics (CTL) credential through the American Society of Transportation and Logistics (ASTL).

The self-paced certificate program consists of six online modules that can be completed in as little as eight months.    It is available to those who meet the prerequisites set by ASTL, which specify that individuals must have three years of industry experience or hold a four-year degree.   The next start date is May 13 for those wishing to apply in April.

Dr. Richard Stewart, Chair of the Department of Business and Economics as well as UW-Superior Transportation and Logistics faculty members Dr. Mei Cao and Dr. Amit Mokashi were involved in the development of this program.  “We started the program knowing that it would be of interest to industry professionals, as well as active duty military and veterans.  We are delighted that the VA has recognized the value of this program.”

Certified in Transportation and Logistics is offered by UW-Superior in partnership with the American Society of Transportation and Logistics. Certification in Transportation and Logistics is the premier professional credential that enables individuals to become leaders in the fields of transportation and logistics.
