Making A Difference: Superior Middle School Eighth Graders

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) — Imagine carrying everything you own in a trash bag while you move from home to home.

That’s the sad reality for many children who end up in foster care due to no fault of their own.

A group of Middle School Students in Superior put their hearts and minds together to make a difference by replacing those trash bags with something sweet.

“We’re kids ourselves and the thought of maybe being taken away from our families and only have a trash bag is kinda really difficult to think about.”

Foster care provides children with a temporary home and family when their parents are unable to meet their needs and keep them safe.

When a child is removed from their home, personal items are often packed in a hurry and thrown into a garbage bag.
